Our popular wines for summer are selling out very quickly, including our Twisted Mist coolers. Great news for our customers though there is a July Special on Italian Barolo and Italian Pinot Grigio.
The World Vineyard Collection a medium bodied dark cherry World famous Barolo with a spicy fruit favor coveys the richness of Italy’s best grapes. Barolo Italian wine is called “The King of Wines” where grapes grown near the city of Alba in Northern Italy’s area of Piedmont.
Barolo has cherry, violets, black licorice and truffle flavors with deep flavors that last. It is an robustly intense wine, not for the faint-hearted and has a complexity of flavors like no other.
Serving: Open a bottle at least one hour before serving to allow the wine to air, and serve with foods.
Sweetness: dry Body: medium Oak Intensity: Light
Serve with Foods: A crusty charred steak, a wedge of parmesan cheese, pasta, antipasto, roast game, beef and meaty stews.
Aging: These are the type of wines that get better with aging, up to 5 or 10 years.
This Italian version of a well known favorite Pinot Gris grape is picked the earliest than in any other wine region. This keeps the acidity in the wine before it ripens and is lost. A crispy, dry white wine with a spicy but gentle perfume of almonds and citrus. This summery wine can be served at picnics or a poolside luncheon and is great for summer sipping on a hot day. Served chilled.

Serve with Foods: Pinot Grigio goes well with seafood, light pastas, cheese and crackers, chicken breast, smoked fish, oysters and melon wrapped prosciutto.
